DAGFINN KOCH’s Urban Portraits consists of three short, free-tonal pieces (Kjetil, Malin and Dietrich) that are built on the sounds of open fourths that seem to explore their own echoes. The second piece comprises contemplative open sounds that rise slowly, like vast balloons, up to the heavens. The final piece presents a playful, recurring bass line under interjected moments featuring the unmistakable colour
tone of perfect fourth intervals.
